This recruitment drive is expected to fill around 32438 Level 1 vacancies in various posts including Pointsman, Assistant, Track Maintainer, Assistant Loco Shed, Assistant Operations, Assistant Operations Assistant TL&AC, and other Group D posts in various railway zones.

Exam Pattern

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, similarities, differences, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, etc.
  • General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology
  • Current Affairs: General Awareness, Social Studies, Indian History, Geography, Polity, Economics, etc.
Selection Process
  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): As per the above pattern.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
    • For Male Candidates:
      • You will have to lift 35 kg weight and cover a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without stopping.
      • 1000 meter race has to be completed in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
    • For Female Candidates:
      • You will have to lift 20 kg weight and cover a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes without stopping.
      • 1000 meter race has to be completed in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
  3. Document Verification & Medical Test: For final selection.
